Characterization of Dioxins and Heavy Metals in Chelated Fly Ash

چکیده
Municipal solid waste incineration (MSWI) fly ash contains highly toxic heavy metals and polychlorinated dibenzo dioxins/furans (PCDD/Fs), which are a type of hazardous waste. The pollution characteristics have changed with the development stoker grate incinerators treatment technology; however, no research has been focused on this in recent years. In study, 12 samples were collected from 9 power plants southeastern China, their PCDD/Fs metal concentrations determined compared to previous data. concentration was range 0.002–0.051 ngI-TEQ/g, an average 0.027 ngI-TEQ/g. Furthermore, 1,2,3,4,6,7,8-HpCDD OCDD made most significant contributions PCDDs. distribution 10 dioxins exhibited bimodal, unimodal, normal characteristics. Linear fitting demonstrated strong correlation between toxicity 1,2,3,7,8-PentaCDD, 1,2,3,7,8-PentaCDF, 2,3,4,7,8-PentaCDF. Concerning metals, Pb poses environmental risk. This is first time that treated chelating agent thoroughly analyzed, vital for understanding level derived current plants.

Heavy Metals Removal on Dye – Modified Fly Ash Substrates
The fly ash is a cheap waste materials which can be an efficient substrate in wastewater treatment for the immobilization of heavy metals, mainly Cd, Pb, Ni, Zn, Cu, and for dyes removal. The use of FA for heavy metals removal, from wastewaters resulted in the dye finishing industry, faces a supplementary problem, related to the dyes affinity for oxide surfaces. Working with industrial wastewat...

15 صفحه اولAccumulation and translocation of heavy metals in soil and plants from fly ash contaminated area.
The present investigation deals with the accumulation of heavy metals in fields contaminated with fly ash from a thermal power plant and subsequent uptake in different parts of naturally grown plants. Results revealed that in the contaminated site, the mean level of all the metals (Cd, Zn, Cr, Pb, Cu, Ni, Mn and Fe) in soil and different parts (root and shoots) of plant species were found to be...

in this study, the recycling possibility of residual oil fly ash (rofa) towards preparing activated carbon and its application in environmental remediation through adsorbing cu (ii) and pb (ii) ions from aqueous solutions were investigated. activated carbons were prepared using two different physical activation methods such as under steam flow at 950 0c, and combined steam and co2 flow at 850 0...
متن کاملMINTEQ modeling for evaluating the leaching behavior of heavy metals in MSWI fly ash.
At present, all kinds of municipal solid waste incineration (MSWI) fly ash stabilization technology has been reported and successfully applied in many countries. However, leaching procedures are very different that the technologies lack uniform standard, and it is even impossible to predict the long-term stabilization. Geochemical model can explain the environmental stabilization based on chemi...
